WRITING CONTEST #38: use the word “assuage” in a sentence.

SENTENCE WRITING CONTEST: Every Monday a new, interesting vocabulary word will be posted here, as well as a sentence using that word.

THIS WEEK’S WORD: ~ ASSUAGE ~    

Verb.  1.Make (an unpleasant feeling) less intense.   2. Satisfy (an appetite or desire): “an opportunity occurred to assuage her desire for knowledge”.  Synonym: soothe

SENTENCE TO BEAT:  She refrained from following me, quashing my confidence, leaving me with the need to assuage the fear burning in my belly.
